Observation notes: Tiny specimen observed landing on limerock pebble in parking lot - presumed to sun in patchy sunlight, Highly tolerant of approach. Initially mis-identified as Red-banded

Coordinator notes: C. cecrops and C. isobeon can vary in appearance, but note the wide red band on the ventral hindwing of cecrops, as opposed to the narrower band in C. isobeon, which gets even narrower as it approaches the outer margin. It is very wide in this individual. Also, the red band on the ventral forewing of isobeon is almost always narrower than in cecrops. It is well developed in this individual. Perhaps most important, there are no known Florida records of isobeon, which primarily ranges from Texas to South America.
