Observation notes: Lone individual seen hilltopping in chaparral, along with Bramble Hairstreak, Behr’s Metalmark and some Duskywing sp. Very faint markings on the upper wings of this very worn individual , distinguish it from any other Hairstreak in the county for this time of year. Behavior and markings suggest male. Weather cool, clear but slightly breezy with nearby onshore fog.
