Observation notes: Seen on Pepperdine University campus early in the morning resting on an outdoor window ledge of the Ahmanson Music Building. At first I thought it was almost dead as it didn't move but its coloring really caught my eye so I brought it home for my daughter and we released it in our backyard that evening. It hung onto her finger for about 10 minutes before taking flight.
