Observation notes: This moth was spotted in a pine tree in out backyard in Cedar City, Utah. Early that morning there had been a thunder storm with rain coming down for almost an hour. The picture with wings spread was taken at about 9:30 in the morning and the other picture at around 3:00 in the afternoon. The moth stayed all day and was still here at 11:30pm, but was gone by the next morning.
