Observation notes: While performing trail maintenance on the Ozark Trail, I laid my hiking stick on the ground for a few minutes. I did not notice this caterpillar had climbed onto the stick until I was stung by the barbs. Beautiful, vibrant colors have washed out somewhat after a couple hours in a vial of alcohol. In my collection, #L110915001.
