Observation notes: Callophrys gryneus female ovipositing. One of two dozen found
in many locations in a former pasture-reverting-to-shrubs.
A population explosion led to 1000's of gryneus, 2003-2004 --
10,000's throughout town.
A population crash led to fewer and fewer sightings in the following years.
In 2010, a few gryneus were found in at least two sites in this one pasture;
where in 2011, multiple individuals were found in more than a dozen sites.
