Observation notes: I finally found a representation of this creature in Wikipedia, which led me to this site. I finally identified the caterpillar through Wikipdia and got the picture from there, because I've been worried, not knowing what it was or what it does; and because they have been migrating from the neighbor across the street, who has palms and sea-grape trees, toward my yard. I need to add that I have seen ONE ash-white moth in my property and could not relate it to this worm.
