Observation notes: I occasionally find these on the floor of my condo. I live in Fort Myers, FL. The caterpillar inches around, pulling its cocoon. The cocoon is about 1 cm long.

Coordinator notes: this caterpillar is known as the "plaster bagworm" moth, Phereoeca uterella. It is a household pest, but typically does no damage. They feed on spider webs. This website has no entry for this species.
