Observation notes: The butterfly flitted away with a potential companion numerous times, then returned to this particular tree repeatedly. Temperature was about 85F; occasional breezes ranged from 0 to 5 MPH.

Coordinator notes: I am not sure if this is a resident or stray at the locality where you photographed this butterfly. It lives in oak wooded foothills and mountains.
