Observation notes: Warm (78 F), sunny. On California Buckwheat (Eriogonum fasciculatum var. foliolosum) in an area of recovering coastal sage scrub (mixture of CSS species and non-native grass) east of the entry drive at the Claremont Colleges' Bernard Field Station (www.bfs.claremont.edu).
