Observation notes: As we were leaving the restaurant my son leapt over something and drew my attention to it. It turned out to be a HUGE moth just sitting on the pavement. Worried it would be run over by passing cars, I picked it up with a leaf from nearby plants and placed it up higher on the base of a light near some bushes so it wouldn't be disturbed. It was slightly cooler outside being early morning, and there was no breeze, rain, or any unnatural weather.
