Observation date: July 14, 2013
Submitted by: treichard
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: 5-6 mm. Attracted to balcony light. Performed a sweeping motion with both antennae, each held straight, and like a doppler radar sweeping a circle. The antennae moved simultaneously and independently, not symmetrically, in this maneuver. The closest match I see in my Peterson field guide is the Tick-Trefoil Caloptilia Moth, with the black dot in the central median area.
