Observation notes: I observed this moth flying around in the grass and bushes bordering our woods during the day, I have not seen one this type in my yard before. I was able to capture a few pictures. The color was vivid, the moth was in good condition. We have had a lot of rain in my region for the past weeks, today was a fairly cool temperate day. I didn't see this on the list of recorded moths for Clearfield County.

Coordinator notes: This could also be Xanthotype sospeta but that moth is usually a lighter yellow.
