Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: The specimen flitted to and fro across an area with many clumps of low-growing, ground-hugging flowers that were also frequented by many bees, many skippers, and a couple rapidly-moving Queens. Temperature was approximately 78 degrees Fahrenheit, with high humidity. Breezes ranged from nil to 6 or 8 MPH, shifting from northwest to west to southwest. The specimen held on to a blossom head or a plant stem when breezes strengthened. Shadows of plant stems darken the wings in two different places in the photo.
