Coordinator notes: I think this is likely a Nokomis Fritillary but I cannot ID it without knowing two things: Was this a very large fritillary? And was the hindwing below very prominently golden colored with silvered spots? If so it is likely Speyeria nokomis which flies into September. Please answer those questions and I can likely ID this. Based on date and the hindwing, it must be Nokomis-Ken Davenport
