Five-spotted hawkmoth
Manduca quinquemaculata

Observation date: October 01, 2013
Submitted by: AnnieManty
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: My friend says it's a white lined sphinx moth but after looking at photos I don't think it is. We found it in Geneva, IL about midday laying in our garden bed. It moved very slowly and most just sat still on his hand.
