Observation notes: Several specimens of this moth were sitting motionless on the wooden walls and aluminum undersides of the Nature House at Goldstream Park, Langford BC, just outside Victoria BC. Moths were seen on a partly sunny day at around 11:00 am. Temperature was about 12 dg C. There had been several days of heavy rainfall preceding the day the moths were seen and the shaded canyon was still quite humid.
