Observation notes: was stung by wasp and was dropped when we started trying to get photos. very warm sunny day, azalea springs trail abut a mile in, lots of ceanothus and other fire followers because of a fire 8-10 years ago. lots of oak regrowth pines cedar lots of shrubs. very diverse area just above desert transition to borrego desert. the peak at cuyamaca has sugar pine and white fur. strange for being so far south and so hot in summer.

Coordinator notes: This a female Ornate Tiger moths. The males are nocturnal and can be abundant at lights, but the females are diurnal.
