Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Saw an adult monarch butterfly on some Allen Chickering Sage in the Nature Gardens at NHM. Interestingly, I am pretty sure that this monarch flew into another monarch shortly after I took this photo. I looked down at my camera to see how the photograph turned out, and then I heard a slight noise (like two things bumping into each other) and turned and saw two monarchs separating from each other and flying in opposite directions. They seemed fine, maybe a bit embarrassed (LOL).

Coordinator notes: The Museum has quite a large insect collection inside, though not available to the general public. Several thousand butterflies I collected are in that collection-Ken Davenport
