Observation notes: late afternoon on what was a very hot day, clear sky's. azalea springs rancho cuyamaca state park. lots of butterflies on milkweed as things dry out. previous fire has lots of new growth on oaks. 'Regrowth from stumps of burned trees. lots of shrubs and also cedar, pine and fur on cuyamaca peak. usually a little rain in all months of the year, it can be very green and lots of meadows. mountains drop down to anza borrego desert, this area is also part of the borrego state park.
