Coordinator notes: Muir's Hairstreak is closely related to the Juniper Hairstreak and some treat muiri as a subspecies of Callophrys gryneus. I am assuming your hairstreak was found near Sargent Cypress, the host of muiri. A similar muiri looking hairstreak occurs on junipers in parts of the California Coast Ranges. which may be muiri or may be Callophrys siva or gryneus, status controversial. Many of your finds have been difficult to identify with confidence.
