Observation notes: on seep, one set of wings seemed very damaged. hot low nineties to high eighties coastal sage scrub and riparian 17 miles from coast, some water in creeks. but just barley a trickle maybe an inch so far this season. just enough for the natives. clouds of moths flying up as we walked trail. several different sizes this one was about 1.5 inches long. some moths seeking nectar with butterflies lots of both most moths were not flying until startled , heavy groups of moths around live oaks easily startled to flight.
