Observation notes: tuffs of fur on its head and tail, very reflective areas of gold scales? on wings lands with wings closed, was not bothered by chilling in fridge for 15 minutes, flew away almost before i could even get photos. will use dark background if i find it again. was attracted to light in house. about three eights of an inch long. lots of nectar in yard pollinator garden. lots of variety of plants. we also have a state park near by, that has some natives also.
