Life History:
Flight: June to September
Caterpillar Hosts: The larvae initially leaf mine and later bore the stems of Typha[3] and Scirpus species below the water line.

Habitat:
Range: Southern Canada from the Maritimes to British Columbia, south to the Gulf of Mexico and southern California.
Conservation:
NCGR: G5 - Demonstrably secure globally, though it may be quite rare in parts of its range, especially at the periphery.
