Identification: Forewing uniform greenish gray; orangish brown along inner margin below black median dash. Lines fine, broken, black. Hindwing yellowish orange with black bands; black border may have narrow break near anal angle.
Wing Span: 3.9-5 cm.
Life History:
Flight: June-August.
Caterpillar Hosts: Apple, hawthorn, and plum trees.

Range: Maine and southern Ontario to Florida, west to South Dakota and Texas.
