The Larch Moth
Tolype laricis (Fitch, 1856)
Family: Lasiocampidae
Subfamily: Macromphaliinae
Identification: Male is blackish gray with lines usually invisible. Female looks like a small brownish female of Tolype velleda.

Caterpillar Hosts: Larches, firs, pines, and other conifers.
