Wing Span: Male 1.3-1.87 cm. Female 1.04-1.5
Life History:
Flight: February to July
Caterpillar Hosts: Brown et al., (1983) reported rearing on Artemisia tridentata Nutt. (Asteraceae) in southern Idaho. Powell & Opler, (2009) reported the larval host as Artemisia californica Less. (Asteraceae) in coastal California.

Range: California to Utah, Idaho and Washington; with a isolated population in southeastern Saskatchewan.
