Identification: Forewings are deep reddish or pinkish brown with a purplish tinge. dark subterminal band complete and conspicuous. Subterminal band of hindwing almost always dark and well developed.
Wing Span: 2.2-2.5 cm
Life History:
Flight: Late June and early July in the East, July and August in the Plains; June and August BC.
Caterpillar Hosts: Unknown but mint species are suspect.
